For instance, there are more orthodox treatment methods and then there is the option of the head louse herbal treatment method; the head louse herbal treatment method is in fact one of the more popular, primarily due to the fact that so many people are more interested in going with natural and alternative treatment methods as opposed to the more modern ones.
Head Louse Herbal Treatment Method #1: Essential Oils
This is a great head louse herbal treatment method, and the best part about it is that it is all natural. All you need to do is add about ten drops of lavender, tea-tree or geranium essential oil to a cup of olive oil, and then massage this oil into the scalp and leave on for about two hours, then you shampoo the oil out of the hair and then, using conditioner, comb the hair thoroughly with a fine-toothed comb – the finer the better.
Remember that you need to aim at getting the nits off of the hair shaft; rinse out the conditioner and then you rinse through the quassia bark infusion, and leave this in the hair and then let it dry as usual.
If you want to make the infusion all you need to do is soak a large handful of quassia bark chips into one and a half liters of cold water overnight, and then you strain it through a colander and then you are finished and it is ready to be used. Just remember that if you catch the rinse in the bowl, then it can be used to treat more heads, and so this will save you in the end; as well, you should know that this rinse is incredibly safe, however it may tend to dry the scalp out a little but it is worth it to get rid of the lice.
You want to be sure to take your time so that you do not miss any nits or lice, so that you do not have to worry about them coming back especially after all of the time and effort that you put into it; you also want to carefully clean all of your house, especially the furniture and things in case lice have gotten on there.
